A Year in Pictures - Part 3

Spring and Summer 2011.

Birds are chirping. Things are chugging along...I unfortunately don't have many pictures. I think I actually lost my camera in the mess for a little while. But anyhow, enough with the excuses. Summer 2001 is also when  we received bad news at a visit to the vet because he has a weird wart on his nose. We found out he has heartworms and lyme disease. A pretty rare and unfortunate combination of diseases. We worried about that a bit but since he showed no symptoms, we decide to go with antibiotics and monthly heart worm prevention rather than risky procedures. (Update: he's doing fine...we will need to take him for a second series of test soon but he still shows no symptoms)

On with a few mostly non-house-related pictures:

A Year in Pictures - Part 2

Hi again:

Ok so now we are January 2011. Let me remember how it was back then. We are finally out of the trailer. We have a temporary sink but nothing else. We're not freezing but we sleep with a lot of layers on. It's really cool to see the wall separations. We can now walk around and see what the dimensions will feel like. We daydream about the next Christmas, but little do we know we have another full year of living in an unfinished mess...aw...blissful ignorance.

OK back to pictures. I know it's more interesting than me blabbing on.

January - April:  Enermax, Wiring and Drywall extravaganza.

You know, it was kinda nice to have everything we owned in a tiny room :)

The goal at this point was to finish the bedroom so we could have  a little less dust where we slept.

Francis did a LOT of wiring during that time too.

My first semi-normal bathroom in months.
Complete with early 90s vanity and working toilet. Ooooo

Chuck and Francis Dad were real troopers and helped us out tremendously with the drywall. 

Strapping has to be installed on the Enermax before the drywall is put up
