Status Update

Ok, first I want to say sorry for not posting anything is a long time. We were both pretty busy with regular life stuff but also busy with dealing with plans, contractors and well making important decisions for our future home.

I won't go into much details but here's the short version of what happens in the last 4 months:

• We've cleared the land and it's ready for excavation. We will need to go back and chop a few more trees down because of the modified house position and the unexpected size increase of our septic bed.
• We've also got our driveway completed up to where the house will be built. (See pictures below). Note that the house will be approx 275ft from the road so that it is as peaceful as possible :)
• We've received our approved septic bed construction permits from Robin at BioByte (City of Ottawa). Surprise!! We need a stupid mantle!! That's the reason we need to cut down more trees. Sorry Steph xoxo
• We've also got some land surveying done by Denis Dutrisac from Rockland. There is still some work to be done, since we required more detailed house plans with elevations.
  

Today we are meeting with Luc Lavoie to go over the 2nd version of our house plans. Hopefully there won't be too many changes required.
