A Year in Pictures - Part 2

Hi again:

Ok so now we are January 2011. Let me remember how it was back then. We are finally out of the trailer. We have a temporary sink but nothing else. We're not freezing but we sleep with a lot of layers on. It's really cool to see the wall separations. We can now walk around and see what the dimensions will feel like. We daydream about the next Christmas, but little do we know we have another full year of living in an unfinished mess...aw...blissful ignorance.

OK back to pictures. I know it's more interesting than me blabbing on.

January - April:  Enermax, Wiring and Drywall extravaganza.

Our beautiful room

You know, it was kinda nice to have everything we owned in a tiny room :)

Let the drywall begin!

The goal at this point was to finish the bedroom so we could have  a little less dust where we slept.

Francis did a LOT of wiring during that time too.

My first semi-normal bathroom in months.
Complete with early 90s vanity and working toilet. Ooooo

Kitchen taking shape

Chuck and Francis Dad were real troopers and helped us out tremendously with the drywall.

Strapping has to be installed on the Enermax before the drywall is put up

Yes, it's a bath!!! (but not working yet at this point)

Our stuff is moved out of the room and into the little storage area between the house and music room.

A temporary door so we can close off the bedroom

Drywall is looking fantastic.

This gives you an idea of the quantity of dust we lived in ...

We were trying to heat with the fireplace as much as possible.
This was the Catwalk of Death to get to the woodpile.

Cutting Durock is messy.

Things were starting to melt...we were so happy to see the sun again.

Sigh. Boys :)

Francis working on the fireplace.

For the last year, Francis has had a power tool in his hand everyday .
He bitches now, but I bet he will miss it later on :)

A cause of great argument...
I wanted a stainless steel pipe because I want an open vanity.
I won. Weeee!

Which wire sets off the bomb?

Ben and Joe starting the roof.

An impressive ladder collection

Gutters slowly being installed

While I was away in Montreal, the boys started the pine floor for the bedroom.

Oh and they painted. It was an awesome surprise. Beautifuuuuuul.

Walk-in closet

Now that they were pros, they started the ceiling in the kitchen and dining

What a team.. :)

Dining and kitchen finished

Strapping in the living room so we could install the pine planks
